Road Accident Rescue (RAR)

Wandin Fire Brigade is one of the relatively few CFA brigades in the state to provide a Road Accident Rescue (RAR) response to our community.

Car accidents are an unfortunate fact of our lives these days, but when they happen, we strive to provide prompt and professional care for the patient in coordination with Ambulance and Police in order for victims to make the best possible recovery from their injuries.

Our brigade couldn't provide our services without regular training, and this training would not occur without the support of J&L Towing services who generously provide us with scrap cars to practice our techniques and refine our knowledge.

Fire Station Extension Officially Opened

It has been a long time in planning but thanks to the support of its members, community and the Victorian Government, the extension of the Wandin Fire Station in District 13 was officially opened on Saturday, 5 March 2011 in front of a crowd of 180 people.
