Fuel Reduction Burn - Powelltown Area

The Department of Sustainability and Environment (DSE) is planning to conduct a Fuel Reduction Burn today (Tue 24th March) in the area of Powelltown.

The burn will be approximately 11km east of Powelltown and is planned to be 37ha in size. This fire may cause smoke in the area over the next few days.

Fire Station Extension Officially Opened

It has been a long time in planning but thanks to the support of its members, community and the Victorian Government, the extension of the Wandin Fire Station in District 13 was officially opened on Saturday, 5 March 2011 in front of a crowd of 180 people.
