Wandin fire brigade is a brigade of the Country Fire Authority in Victoria, Australia. Wandin is located approximately 50km East of Melbourne city in the popular wine region known as the Yarra Valley. We have 3 active fire appliances used for responding to approximately 100 fire calls each year:
- Tanker (Hino 2.4D)
- Pumper (Mazda T4600 CFA Type II)
- Rescue (Mazda T4000 CFA Medium)
Wandin brigade is one of the few CFA brigades across the state that provide Road Accident Rescue (RAR) as a primary response. Find out more on the Rescue page.
Latest News Due to membership growth of the Wandin Fire Brigade, our station is being extended to incorporate a larger training facility/multi-purpose room, as well as upgraded change-rooms and storage facilities for our Personal Protective Equipment. Recent heavy rains and forecast cooler weather has prompted CFA Yarra Area - Region 13 to declare an early end to the Fire Danger Period. The Fire Danger Period will end in CFA Yarra Area – Region 13 at 0100 hours on Monday 22 March, 2010. It was originally scheduled to end 1 May 2010. Fire Restrictions in the Shire of Yarra Ranges are in force from 1.00am 14th December 2010, until 1.00am 1st May 2010, unless otherwise altered.
